Sylish and Functional Cross Training Gear

I’ll be the first to admit that my running wardrobe is pretty awesome. I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in a couple of programs with two of the more well-known running companies and in the process received some Christmas-like deliveries of gear.

But my pilates/yoga/barre/etc wardrobe has been lacking. I mostly wear running shorts or capris and a tank or sports bra when I do the workouts – which has been totally fine (it’s hard to justify spending $ on clothes that nobody except my husband and I will see). But I’ve begun going to the gym to do core and strength work a couple of times a week and I am beginning pilates and barre classes at a nearby studio (I just found out about this studio that is 1 mile away!). And so I’ve been on the lookout for affordable clothes that would fit the bill for these workouts.

It was pretty fortuitous that Amazon Fashion reached out a couple of weeks ago to see if I was interested in teaming up and trying out some of their new gear from their #AmazonActive line.

With brands like Saucony, New Balance, Puma, MPG and more, Amazon Fashion is your one-stop shop for the latest styles, great prices and fast shipping, Amazon Fashion is a great resource for all of your athletic apparel and footwear needs

Trina Turk Tank paired with the Pink Lotus Leggings for a Jillian Michaels workout

All four pieces I received fit true to size and were extremely functional for the workouts I wore them for which included a Jillian Michaels’ Abs video, a pilates DVD, lots of core work and a couple of strength workouts. I received (w/ my favorite feature for that item) the:

  • Trina Turk Tank – pattern and fit. It was long enough to sit on my hips but also had enough give to move with me while I exercised
  • Pink Lotus Leggings – texture. These are the softest, most comfortable pair of pants I own. If I could wear them every day, I would.
  • Calvin Klein Tye Dye Crop – pattern. Fun, loud patterns seem to be a new craze and these definitely fit the (4)
  • MPG Multi-Strap Tank – back detail and built-in-bra. The back design is what initially caught my eye – it’s a bunch of criss-crossed straps that give the tank a more feminine feel to it. And the built-in-bra was great – so you don’t have to worry about sports bra straps getting in the way of the beautiful back design!photo (5)

Amazon Fashion also has an extensive selection of running gear (gear and shoes) in their active line and I couldn’t pass up the Saucony Kinvara 5 – 10% off the MSRP and free shipping!

*Disclaimer: I received these items from Amazon Fashion to test out and review. All opinions are completely my own.

I don’t post here every day, but I post all of my workouts (and other happenings) on Instagram on a daily basis {NYCRunningMama}.
